William Clark

William Clark was chosen by Meriwether Lewis to be the co-leader of The Corps of Discovery. Clark and Lewis served in the army and became long-time friends. During the expedition Clark drew maps of the land they covered. He also identified many plants and animals. When the expedition returned, Clark's journal was chalk full of many new plant and animal species. He was also management of expedition supplies. William Clark did many great things for the expedition and made many new discoveries. |
